A farewell ceremony was held at the Flora Ho Sports Centre (FHSC) of the University of Hong Kong (HKU) on January 8. HKU students, alumni and staff gathered to bid farewell to the sports centre – a place full of cherished memories of the HKU family. It was opened in 1984, serving as a venue for various sports activities and competitions, and occasionally as an examination centre for students.
The FHSC will soon be transformed into part of the University’s new Pokfield Campus. Built for the 21st Century, the new campus will feature an ultra-modern sports complex with an upgraded multi-purpose indoor sports hall, an indoor swimming pool with adjustable depth, a fitness centre, rooftop space, and a range of function rooms for various sports activities.
