On 5 March 2026, senior management and departmental representatives from the University of Hong Kong (HKU) carried out a site visit to the Pokfield Campus development at the junction of Pok Fu Lam Road and Pokfield Road.
The HKU management team included Mrs. Cherry Tse Ling Kit‑ching, Executive Vice‑President (Administration and Finance); Professor Cai Hongbin, Dean of HKU Business School; Dr. Michael Tse, Director of the Centre for Sports and Exercise; and Mr. Sunny Yeung, Director of Estates.
The project team, together with representatives from main contractors Lanon‑Able JV (Phases 1–2) and Build King Construction Ltd (Phase 3), introduced the project status. HKU management team inspected the construction site across various phases, including the new Academic Complex for HKU Business School and the multi‑purpose Sports Complex (Phase 1), staff and visiting scholars’ residences (Phase 2), and the teaching and learning complex and conference centre (Phase 3). The two main contractors provided an update on the construction progress, covering the ongoing superstructure works for Phases 1 and 2, as well as the excavation and ground anchor works for Phase 3.
The Pokfield Campus will be developed into a world-class campus hub to support HKU’s teaching, research, innovation and sustainability objectives, and to serve the HKU community. The new campus is expected to be completed in phases from 2027 to 2028.
